Job Description:

The Lead Designer is responsible for building, leading, and scaling a high performance design team delivering visually compelling, conversion driven, and brand consistent outputs for US based B2C clients including restaurants, dental chains, and online grocery businesses. This role manages a team of 6 designers and works closely with the Marketing leadership to ensure design directly supports business goals, platform performance, and client success.

This is a leadership role with strong hands on ownership of creative direction, quality control, and process discipline.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Leadership and Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and review the output of the design team
  • Define design standards, brand frameworks, and quality benchmarks
  • Ensure speed, consistency, and creative excellence across all deliverables

Client Brand Ownership

  • Translate client business goals into strong visual identities and design systems
  • Own brand narratives across digital, print, and physical spaces
  • Ensure design outputs align with marketing strategy and conversion goals

Core Deliverables Ownership

  • Branding and logo design
  • Website and app UI UX design
  • Print, packaging, and in store collateral
  • Brand moodboards and social media lookbooks
  • Social media and paid campaign creatives
  • Reels, short form videos, and storyboards
  • Brand videos and visual storytelling
  • Restaurant space design and visual layouts

Marketing and Performance Alignment

  • Collaborate with performance marketing teams to create high converting creatives
  • Design platform specific assets for Meta, Google, and email campaigns
  • Use campaign performance insights to continuously improve creative output

Process and Quality Control

  • Set clear workflows for briefs, iterations, approvals, and final delivery
  • Ensure brand consistency across all client touchpoints
  • Drive timelines, version control, and design documentation

Required Experience and Skills

8 plus years of professional design experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role

  • Strong expertise in branding, UI UX, and digital first design systems
  • Hands on proficiency with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and video tools
  • Strong understanding of social media, paid creatives, and content formats
  • Ability to balance creativity with business and performance goals
