The Cloud Network Engineer serves as the final escalation point for Cloud related issues. Acts as an internal consultant role across multiple business units, representing the Network team. Research and evaluation of Cloud technologies, to address current and future needs. Establishment of repeatable design strategies and automation. CloudFormation updates using JSON/YMAL, Resource Manager, Deployment Manager Design review of fellow architect and engineer designs/implementation plans Have you got what it takes? 5+ year’s Plus work experience within an internetworking environment. Perform network and system vulnerability assessments, ensuring timely remediation across environments. Work with InfoSec and compliance teams to provide evidence, reports, and documentation during internal and external audits. Maintain security posture across AWS / Azure / cloud environments by applying best practices and continuous hardening. Review and implement network security configurations (firewalls, security groups, VPNs, routing, etc.) to meet compliance requirements. Coordinate with Information Security team to close open vulnerabilities and address audit findings. Prepare, maintain, and update compliance artifacts for recurring audits (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS). Support internal teams with incident response and follow-up for remediation actions. Contribute to developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for compliance and security practices. Experience with Cloud technologies: AWS, Azure, GCP Experience dealing with Infrastructure as code Scripting experience with JSON/YMAL for CloudFormation Expert Level experience with Palo Alto and F5 load balancers Expert Level experience with network switching and routing Extensive knowledge of networking technologies, topologies, and protocols.
