Job Summary
We are building a next-generation Agentic AI capability within Payroll, combining business expertise with engineering to automate and scale operations.
As an AI / API Engineer, you will design and build AI-driven workflows integrated with enterprise systems while mentoring internal talent transitioning into AI roles. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on solving real business problems using AI, APIs, and scalable system design.
Key Responsibilities
Build Agentic AI Solutions
Design and develop AI-powered workflows using LLMs such as OpenAI and Azure OpenAI
Implement multi-step agentic solutions combining reasoning, tools, APIs, and enterprise data
Ensure reliability, scalability, and accuracy of AI outputs
Integrate Enterprise Systems
Build and manage REST API integrations with internal platforms
Work with authentication methods including OAuth and token-based systems
Connect structured and unstructured data sources across systems
Translate Business Problems into Solutions
Collaborate with payroll SMEs to identify operational challenges
Design scalable AI + API architectures and production-ready solutions
Debug and optimize complex multi-component workflows
Enable & Mentor Talent
Support upskilling of payroll professionals into AI engineering roles
Conduct code reviews and share engineering best practices
Help build internal AI engineering capability at scale
Must-Have Skills
Strong Python development experience
Hands-on experience with REST APIs, authentication, OAuth, and system integrations
Experience with LLM platforms such as OpenAI or Azure OpenAI
Prompt engineering and tool/function calling knowledge
Strong problem-solving and system design skills
Excellent communication skills
Good-to-Have Skills
Experience with LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or similar agentic frameworks
Azure cloud experience
Knowledge of RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)
Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases
Basic frontend/UI development skills
MS Office proficiency
