Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated Area Sales Manager (ASM) to oversee sales operations, business development, and customer engagement within a specific geographic territory. The ASM will be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing a team of Sales Executives, conducting ATL/BTL activities, and strengthening the brand presence at the ground level.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive sales performance to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
• Lead a team of Sales Executives and ensure effective coverage of assigned areas.
• Plan and execute local ATL activities (e.g., newspaper ads, outdoor branding) and BTL activities (e.g., hearing camps, in-clinic events, door-to-door promotions, awareness programs).
• Build and maintain strong relationships with audiologists, clinics, hospitals, and healthcare professionals.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities (clinics, retail partnerships, corporate tie-ups).
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and after-sales service.
• Provide training, coaching, and support to the field sales team.
• Monitor competitor activities and gather market intelligence.
• Prepare and submit timely sales reports, activity reports, and forecasts to the Regional Sales Manager (RSM).
• Ensure strict adherence to pricing, branding, and promotional guidelines.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
• 3+ years of proven experience in field sales, preferably in hearing aids, medical devices, pharma, or retail healthcare industries.
• Strong understanding of B2C and B2B sales processes.
• Good knowledge of local market dynamics and customer behavior.
• Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Preferred Experience:
• Candidates with experience in hearing aid, audiology, retail healthcare, optical chains, or medical device companies are preferred.
• Experience in managing ATL and BTL activities is an advantage.
