Financial Crime Operations Associate

International Consumer Banking is enhancing its Financial Crime Operations capability in Bengaluru to protect the firm and its customers through effective financial crime processes aligned with regulatory and internal policy requirements.

Job Summary

As a Financial Crime Operations Associate, you will lead a team of Financial Crime Analysts supporting KYC, LOB Escalations, and Fraud Compliance Operations. You will manage daily operations, pipeline health, quality outcomes, coaching, and performance management to ensure timely and consistent delivery. Acting as the escalation point for complex cases, you will ensure decisions are well documented and compliant with policy and regulatory standards. You will partner with Compliance, Controls, and Quality teams to strengthen risk management, maintain audit readiness, and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day delivery across financial crime processes, ensuring adherence to procedures and service-level agreements.

Manage workflow, prioritization, backlog, and case assignments to meet business objectives.

Review complex cases, provide risk-based guidance, and ensure consistent policy application.

Partner with Quality teams to maintain standards, remediate findings, and deliver targeted coaching.

Develop and coach analysts through performance management, feedback, and career development.

Escalate complex issues appropriately and ensure accurate documentation.

Support Audit, Controls, and Regulatory requests with timely and complete evidence.

Identify risks, trends, and process gaps, driving improvements through training, process enhancements, and technology initiatives.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Financial Services.

Experience in KYC, AML, Compliance, Audit, Regulation, or Risk & Controls.

Proven people leadership, coaching, and performance management skills.

Strong workflow management, prioritization, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
