Job Description:

A Data Analyst supporting migration from ERP systems to Azure Fabric is primarily responsible for ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and seamless transfer throughout planning, execution, and validation stages. The role includes ETL process management, analytics readiness, and post-migration reporting within Microsoft Fabric’s unified analytics platform.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze, map, and cleanse data from ERP systems in preparation for migration.

Support design and automation of ETL processes to facilitate accurate and efficient data transfer to Azure Fabric.

Execute comprehensive data quality checks before and after migration, resolving discrepancies or issues.

Collaborate with data engineers and business stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and data usability in Microsoft Fabric.

Implement and monitor data warehousing solutions, using tools like Power BI for reporting and analytics within the Fabric ecosystem.

Document migration processes, standards, and validation steps.

Required Skills

Strong expertise in ERP data structures and migration methodologies.

Proficiency in SQL, Python, and ETL tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Informatica).

Experience with Microsoft Fabric platform, Azure Data Lake, and Power BI.

Analytical skills to identify trends, issues, and drive data-driven decisions during migration.

Attention to detail, ensuring high data quality and minimal downtime during migration.

Effective communication skills for teamwork across technical and business domains.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Certifications such as Microsoft Azure Data Engineer or Azure Fundamentals.

Experience with large-scale ERP and cloud migration projects.
