Job Description:
What You Do
- Build high-quality user interfaces for connected vehicle experiences spanning infotainment dashboards, portals, and complex data visualizations.
- Collaborate closely with backend and platform engineers to design contracts, optimize API consumption, and ensure reliability at scale.
- Drive performance, accessibility, and internationalization from the ground up; instrument and monitor UX KPIs to improve continuously.
- Contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews, and shared libraries; mentor peers and champion best practices.
- Take ownership of features across the full lifecycle—ideation, build, release, and operations—within a culture of freedom and accountability
Additional Requirements
- Experience building component libraries/design systems; proficiency with CSS-in-JS or utility-first frameworks (e.g., Tailwind) while keeping semantics and accessibility front-and-center.
- Exposure to web observability and monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic, Dynatrace, ELK Stack, Grafana) for front-end performance and user experience metrics.
- Experience automating software integration, testing, delivery, and deployment for front-end assets (CI/CD, bundlers, artifact management).
- Practical experience deploying to cloud platforms (Azure / AWS), infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) for front-end hosting/CDN configuration.
- Understanding of web security best practices (OWASP), CSP, dependency management, and threat modeling relevant to front-end applications.
What We Ask:
- Modern frameworks: Hands-on experience building production-grade applications with React and TypeScript; familiarity with Next.js for server-side rendering/SSG; experience with Angular (v12+) is a plus.
- Architecture & patterns: Ability to design scalable front-end architectures, apply design patterns, and structure large SPA/MPA codebases for maintainability.
- API integration: Deep experience integrating REST and GraphQL APIs, handling authentication, caching, pagination, and error states.
- Performance & reliability: Proven track record optimizing performance (Core Web Vitals), accessibility (WCAG), internationalization, and responsive UI.
- DevOps awareness: Practical knowledge of CI/CD for front-end (e.g., Git-based workflows, build pipelines), and experience operating front-ends in modern cloud environments.
- Domain curiosity: Willingness to learn the connected vehicle domain and become a subject matter expert in automotive UX and data flows.
