Job Description:
Your Role And Responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the sales of products/systems/services within a designated market/division, in line with the division strategy. Each day, you will achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and developing new sales opportunities.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Developing and executing sales strategies for electrical systems, automation solutions, and instrumentation offerings (LV/MV/HV systems, switchgear, transformers, DCS, PLC, SCADA, TAS).
Identifying, pursuing, and converting new business opportunities with EPCs, industrial customers, and channel partners.
Building and maintaining strong customer relationships, understanding their business needs, and positioning ABB’s portfolio as the preferred solution.
Supporting customers with technical knowledge during pre-sales discussions, system selection, and solution finalization.
Managing sales negotiations, contract finalization, and order closure in line with ABB’s commercial and compliance guidelines.
Collaborating with internal engineering, product, and execution teams to ensure on-time delivery of projects and customer satisfaction.
Monitoring competitor activities, market trends, and reporting business intelligence to shape sales strategies.
Achieving sales targets and profitability goals assigned for the designated region/segment.
Promoting ABB’s value proposition through presentations, customer meetings, and industry events.
Qualifications For The Role:
B.E / B.Tech in Electronics / Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering from a reputed university.
6–8 years of experience with at least 5 years in Process Automation, Industrial Automation, or Instrumentation domain.
Demonstrated ability in selling electrical systems and automation solutions in industries such as oil & gas, chemicals, power, and pharma.
Comprehensive knowledge of Automation Systems and Instrumentation: DCS, PLC, SCADA, TAS.
Basic understanding of oil, gas, chemical, and pharma industry production processes; electrical system selling experience.
Proficient communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to operate at multiple levels.
Creative problem-solving with a customer-first approach and high professional integrity.
